Pogrebin is Just Another Word for Nothing Left to Lose
Thursday, May 19, 2005

robin_pogrebin2.jpgAs our patrons have already noted, the just-revealed design for the Ground Zero Freedom Center (formerly the "Museum of Freedom") is kinda hot. No complaints here. But the attempt today by Times "architecture reporter" Robin Pogrebin to stretch the release of the design into a scoop about the nature of the institution is laughable:

Until recently, even the officials planning the center were fuzzy about what it might constitute. But this week, with the unveiling of the design for its future home, they finally detailed their plans.

[Insert drumroll here]

Relying on varied exhibits and multimedia presentations, the Freedom Center will foster "conversations on freedom"...

Got that?
