Holl: Also Sucking in KC

When it rains it pours. On Steven Holl. We thank a certain anonymous tipster for this nugget on the recent contretemps over Stevie's Nelson-Atkins addition. Writes our source: "The well-heeled neighbors are furious to have their formerly lovely sculpture-garden obstructed by the back of an immense blank concrete wall, plus numerous other practical problems that only now seem to have dawned on everyone." Indeed, the Watercolorist has already been called onto the carpet to explain. Writes the KC Star: "Detractors have complained that what they see going up doesn't have the magic of the luminous initial design that was presented to the public." The old bait and switch. Typical.
