The Gutter Salutes: Buildings on Skis
Wednesday, July 27, 2005

watermark.jpgTo help you beat the horrid heat—a cool new building we can wholeheartedly endorse. Not only is this planned research station schuss-ready, not only is it set to be sited a million miles away on the Brunt Ice Shelf (so, like some more local developments, who really cares what it looks like), but, "a hydroponics installation at the centre of the atrium will nourish the winter crew providing up to three fresh salads a week, as well as providing the refreshing sight of greenery at the heart of the station." Iceberg lettuce? Oh, we jape. We jape because we care. But, trust us, we know scurvy is serious business.
