Gutter Krazy Kaption Kontest: We Have a Winner!!!
Monday, August 22, 2005

You snooze you lose. We do indeed have a deserving winner of our first GKKK. We know we only waited three days. But no one's gonna beat this: the motherfucker, alias "nyc nyc," wrote the whole fucking post, sent an image, and even supplied a red hot link—as fate would have it, to boot, in keeping with the theme of the day:

plato-aristotle.jpg

The painting represents Plato and Aristotle as the central figures in an energetic scene of philosophic curiosity and intellectual discovery. The two philosophers are surrounded by people writing, observing, demonstrating, discussing, disputing, or simply thinking. Plato and Aristotle stride forward to meet the viewer, who is invited into the space of the painting to participate in all this intellectual action.

Clearly neither DL (Plato?)?nor his co-gesturing colleague
(Aristotle?)?are inviting the public to engage in rebuilding Lower Manhattan...perhaps to simply point the way to the bank?

Moral of the story, kids? Do our work for us, we'll reward you; do Pataki's work for him, he'll make you rich.
