9/11 Memorial: Easy for the Walking Wounded to Get Out
Wednesday, March 29, 2006

We rarely get as uncomically worked up about an issue as we did back in January when we discussed the obviously unsafe conditions being poured into place at the Ground Zero memorial. Obvious target. Obvious dangers. Obviously dumb. The Times today takes on the issue. Sort of. The bombs may go off in the memorial bunker—over/under, anyone?—but it will be easy for survivors to get out! Thanks, LMDC. Perhaps Mr. Dunlap should ask around about planned security and screening procedures? We're no experts, but it's gotta be better to prevent a bombing than merely to plan a nice escape.
