The Gutter Salutes: The Glorious 10th of July!
Monday, July 10, 2006

McQueen.jpgSome people celebrate the Fourth. They are sheep. We prefer to celebrate this day, July 10. Not for its ample history (silent props to Meher Baba) or its gleesome associations for others (Happy Birthday Jessica!) but for its profound sense of possibility. For on no other day in the long and bloody history of The Gutter has freedom rung with quite the same happy clangor. So join us, if you will—and we do!—in setting aside things bilious and architectural. On 7.10, it's all good.

Yo, watch the HIGHLY ODIOUS misplaced apostrophe on "its" - that's a possessive, Dubya!

My fingers are making the shape of a "w" at all of you.
P.S. If it's a contraction (it is, it's is a contraction) then why was the text corrected?
P.P.S. Except #4, yes, the site is sleeepy. There's nothing other than grammar to talk about. C'mon, 'Snipes, get your bile on.

It's like this....as Philip Nobel proclaimed in his first article for the
ANP...gossip CAN be about community building. It can be smart, and when pronounced with wit, can even put punctuation on social issues that need a little nudging. But THIS...the GUTTER...has gone completely nowhere if not down the drain since...well, near inception. It leaves me wondering, is bandit gossip worthless for the very reason that GOOD gossip comes only with a finger attached? Is it time for a new Guttersniper who’s not afraid of his finger, who it is pointed at, and has a few original ideas about what good gossip can evoke? I’m waiting Guttersniper…my favorites list is long and needs trimming.
